The Rei Feng Night Market is a busy local night market located in the north district of Zuoying. Rei Feng Night Market food consists of many of the normal local foods you find at most night markets and a few unique ones. Stalls come and go and there are always new food items to sample. Here is a list….

Rei Feng Night Market Food : Iron Plate Steak

A lot of night markets have the iron plate meals. Many locals from the neighborhood might choose to have dinner here and the iron plate menu is a filling meal. In addition to beef, you might find, chicken steak, pork steak, and even a seafood choice. When you order this meal, there are places for customers to sit.

Rei Feng Night Market Food : Seafood

Ofcourse there is seafood. Barbecued, deep fried, and stir fried delicacies like squid, shrimp, and crab are all available.

Noodles

There are a few stands selling boiled or stir fried bowls of noodles. These are a good hot snack and there is usually seating next to the stand. Many of the noodles can be cooked with seafood or pork.

Barbecue

There are a few barbecue stands around the market. Most of them have the meats and vegetables prepared on a skewer. You just pick the ones you want, put them in a basket, and hand it to the counter person. They calculate your price and you watch them cook it. You can choose to add extra chilli pepper or not.

Stinky Tofu

Stinky Tofu is a staple at many Taiwan night markets. Get yours deep fried with some nice cold pickled cabbage on top. You’ll be addicted.

Shawarma

This chicken Shawama stand is very popular and the price (40NT) hasn’t changed in years. The roasted chicken comes on a bun with some veggies and a mayonnaise sauce. They can be addicting.

Joy’s Cookies

Joy’s Cookies is a local Kaohsiung outfit owned a run by a Canadian couple. If you are hankering for some good freshly made North American cookies, seek them out. The lemon cookies and orange chocolate chip cookies are tops on my list.
