Raohe Night Market 饒河夜市 is one of Taipei’s great night markets.
The old Raohe Night Market is now a must visit of the many night markets in Taipei City. It is a crowded one street night market with great food choices. It is also right outside the MRT Green Line Song Shan station Exit 5 and around the corner from Exit 1.
After you exit MRT Song Shan Station Exit 5, you will see the temple and the big sign for the night market entrance. The temple, pictured below, looks great when lit up at night.
Food and Shops
The Raohe Market is one long street with two walking lanes. Each side has stalls and storefronts. The center of the night market is full of stalls and sitting areas where visitors can sit and eat.
The Song Shan station is on the on the Green Line of Taipei’s MRT. Visitors can exit at Exit 5 or Exit 1. Exit 1 is just around the corner from the temple and the market.
Seafood at the market
The Raohe Market is primarily food. There are many Taiwanese style choices like rice noodles and seafood.

Black Pepper Bun
One of the most popular snacks at Raohe is the black pepper bun. It is the first stall under the entrance on the temple side of the market in the center. Read HERE for our write up of this must have Taiwanese treat.
Barbecued sausages are a popular food at many night markets.
There are many stinky tofu stands at Raohe. Below is a big pot of boiling tofu in a spicy broth.
Some of the stalls that have space between the walking aisles of the night market also have small seating areas.
