Taoyuan: Where beautiful people come from and the Cherries blossom.
It is located in the northwestern part of the island, contiguous with New Taipei City, Hsinchu County, and Yilan County.Taoyuan City is located in this county and serves as the seat of Taoyuan County.
Taoyuan means means "garden of peach," since the area used to have many peach blossoms. It is primarily an industrial city and doesn't offer distinctive features. It lacks tourists sites, but does have several large shopping malls, good coffee shops, and eateries. Taoyuan has an IKEA. Off Nankang Road is Taimall, one of the biggest malls in Taiwan. Popcorn chicken is available from stalls all over Taoyuan.
