Miaoli is one of the most important tourist destinations of central Taiwan featuring some great Taiwan attractions. Towered by mountains on its side, Miaoli is a picturesque and very popular for it's Cherry blossoms.
Archeological research shows that there were already people living in Miaoli in the prehistoric era. An indigenous group of Taiwanese called "Taokas" who settled here about a 1000 years ago. Lion’s Head Mountain Taiwan Attraction:
The Lions Head Mountain is shaped like a lion’s head on the northern face of the mountain. The rock formations resemble a lion’s head.

The towering mountain is lush with vegetation and strewn with the monasteries which also provide lodgings for its visitors.
