The Taipei Ningxia Night Market 寧夏夜市

The Taipei Ningxia Night Market is one of the busiest and more traditional markets in the city.

Unlike Shilin Night Market and Raohe Night Market, Ningxia is busy but not too overcrowded.

Ningxia Night Market (寧夏夜市) is located in the heart of downtown Taipei on Ningxia Rd. between Nanjing W. Rd. and Mingshen W. Rd. It’s a very busy, traditional street night market much like many that existed across Taiwan 20 or more years ago.

An Older Night Market Has Come Back

The Taipei Ningxia Night Market has had a resurgence.. As most night markets in Taipei, it is visited by locals because of a few famous foods sold there. Also, visitors and tourists can easily get to the market from the MRT.

The Shuanglian MRT stop and the Zhongshan MRT stop are the closest to the Ningxia Night Market. (See map below). At Shuanglian, walk out Exit 1 and head west down Minsheng Road for about 15 minutes until you reach Ning Xia Road. The market starts there.

Famous Food Stands at Ningxia

There are stalls and store fronts along this night market. You will notice long lines for some. The sign pictured below is famous for its egg/oyster omelette. (Eh-A Jian)
