Kids Activities in Taipei – Halloween Trick or Treating

Every year my daughter and I (and a few friends) venture up into Yangmingshan for a bit of trick-or-treating, looking of course for kids activities in Taipei for Halloween. After many years of dwindling spooky residences, last year, 2018, in the area known for expat housing connected to the US military, appeared to be no longer holding an annual trick-or-treating event.

Friends talked about the kids activities and festivities taking place for Halloween in Tianmu, so this year we’re going to take the journey by MRT/bus to see what it’s all about. So we’ll post some pictures of tomorrow’s event here after the fact.

Annual Halloween Event in Tianmu, Taipei

* The event takes place on October 26th this year at the Tianmu Sports Park near Singkong Mitsukoshi Department Store
* Main Halloween activities start on the 26th about 1pm.
* The event includes music, food, and activities for kids of all ages.

Other activities for Halloween in Taipei & Kaohsiung

For many years Halloween has been celebrated around Taiwan. Of course there are options for kids, and there are also options for adults. From Taipei to Kaohsiung in all major cities you’re likely to find a local bar or pub with some sort of Halloween event.

Here’s some recent info from Taiwan News: https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3559681

Every year The Lighthouse in Kaohsiung hosts a fantastic Halloween party. For details check out their page here.
