Best Pizza in Kaohsiung -where to get it fresh and handmade

Opizza Online Pizza Shop

Opizza Online Pizza Shop is exactly that. You order your pizza online, tell them when you’ll be there, and then pick it up. You can take it to go or eat at one of the tables in the shop. The pizza is handmade with fresh ingredients, and priced VERY well. To order your pizza, head to www.opizza.us. The website is in Chinese and English. To pickup, the address is 明倫路492巷六號高雄市. Ming Lun Road, Lane 492, #6, Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City

To order your pizza, head to www.opizza.us.

Pizza Rock (Kaohsiung)

Pizza Rock started in Taichung in 2011 but now is quickly franchising its way around Taiwan. The thin crust style pizza is flavorful and has over 21 choices to choose from. The Zuoying District Fumin Road location in comfortable and English friendly. Prices are very reasonable and they deliver!

The 303

If you were a fan of the now closed Bayou in Kaohsiung City, you’ll be excited to know that the chef has reopened under the new name, The 303. The 303 serves the same pizza as the old Bayou and it’s just as delicious. Deep pan, thick crust, cheesy with a tangy sauce and a variety of different “toppings”. The Godfather, full of meats is a heavy favorite for meat lovers. The Chicago is sauce and cheese and flavorful spices. Beware, bring several mouths cuz these pizzas are filling.

Andrea Pizza

Andrea Pizza is Italian style

Andrea Pizza was started by two Italian pizza chefs with the same name: Andrea.

Andrea Pizza is a hearty and truly flavored Italian style pizza. Their dough is made fresh and the topping choices are plentiful.

Andrea Pizza can be ordered to go or you can dine in their cozy space. Be aware, they often sell out on weekends.

Port Kitchen

Port Kitchen has a nice menu of pasta, steaks, and seafood cooked in their open kitchen for all to see. Their pizza, however, is excellent and makes a great appetizer or entree. Port Kitchen is located in the Aozidi Area of North Kaohsiung near Zhong Hua Road.

The Mercury

The Mercury (2.0) is now a small pub that serves up fresh, handmade, 100% natural ingredients pizza. The owner , Don, took a few years off from his original Mercury bar business, sold it, and then perfected his pizza making skill.

The Mercury is still a pub, but primarily serves great pizza. If you are a fan of New York style pizzas with strong aromas and flavors, then Mercury is worth a try. My favorite is the pepperoni.

The Mercury’s Pepperoni Pizza

Mercury opens at 6:00pm, but sells out of pizza many nights, sometimes as soon as 9:00. You can order The Mercury pizza on Uber Eats.
