Legends Bar & Grill

Legends is a western restaurant/bar located in the north part of Kaohsiung. In addition to great burgers and pizza, this cozy restaurant serves Taiwan’s 3 Giants Craft beer on tap. It is a good stop for a few beers and food.

Beer Talk at Pier 2

Beer Talk is a large Belgian Beer Pub with over 30 Belgian beers on tap and even more bottled. If you are into Belgian crafts, check it out. They serve food and it is in a nice location down at the Pier 2 Arts Center. Map Link Here

Zhen Chang 振昌 Beer and Liquor Store

Located on Ming Cheng 3rd Road, many Kaohsiung expats refer to this shop as “the beer store”. Zhen Chang has a very large selection of craft beers from all over the world. It may be the biggest selection in Kaohsiung City.

Zhang Men Brewing Company Pubs

Zhang Men is a Taipei brewery with over 40 freshly made craft beers. The Minzu Road location has many taps listed on the wall ranging from a light pilsner to Belgian Wheats to Double IPAs to Stouts to Barleywines. You name it, they got it. A small menu of food is available as well.

There is also a cool location overlooking the harbor at Pier 2. The views are awesome, BUT…. Prices at Zhang Men are notoriously. The ambiance at sunset next to the water is quite nice though. Expect to pay $10 for a pint.

Beer Bee

Beer Bee has quietly grown in popularity and yet still remains like a private little pub/shop for locals. At the shop you can have your beers to drink or to go. It is closer to the Kaohsiung Train Station. They have 2-3 beers on tap. Cozy place to hang out. Beer Bee has an assortment of nice bar food and snacks to enjoy with your beer. There is outside seating on the sidewalk.

Jason’s Market

Jason’s has two locations in Kaohsiung City. Both are at the large Han Shen Department stores in their basement levels. Jason’s has been increasing their selection of craft beers from their original Belgium/Australian brew focus. You can now find craft beers from the USA, England, Japan, and Taiwan.

Dollars Supermarket 大樂

Dollars is a supermarket located on the corner of Minzu and Ming Cheng Roads in north Kaohsiung City. The first floor supermarket has a very generous wine and beer selection and there is a good assortment of craft beers to choose from.
