Finger Writing Letter Game

Finger Writing Letter Game

Age Group: Kindergarten
Subject: Hand Writing
Goal of Lesson: Students practice English letter handwriting
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Materials Needed: none

This game is good for young learners who are just learning the alphabet.

Line your students up in 2 lines. Or, just line them up in one line if it isn't a game.

Then have everyone face the same direction, give the last student in each line an alphabet card. Don't say the card outloud.

The last student in line must write the given letter on the back of the person in front of them using his/her finger. The front student must then write THE SAME letter on the student in front of him.

The students keep writing all the way down the line until the front student. The front student must then guess the letter. If the student guesses correctly, the team can get a point or a star.

The person at the front of the line now goes to the back and a new round begins.

Teachers can play this game for speed or just for fun as well.
