As with most zoos, it’s a great place to take the family on a nice day out, and also has enough interesting animal species to keep the amateur zoologist happy.The zoo has many native Taiwanese species like the Formosan Black Bear, Formosan Sika Deer and Formosan Wild Boar. International species include several tigers, elephants, lions, monkeys and even a grizzly bear.The zoo has two more nice features for families: a very reasonable entrance fee and a small water park area for the kids to play in.
