Craft-Pop-up Flower Vase Card

Make a beautiful flower pop-up using construction paper. This is a wonderful Valentine's day card and also useful for Get Well Soon, Birthday Card or Mother's Day. It's a simple and beautiful craft. This can be made in the classroom  for the children to take home on that special occasion.

Supplies needed:

This project is rated as MEDIUM to do.

Fold two rectangular pieces of construction paper in half. One piece will be the outside of the card and one piece will be the inside.
On the piece that will be the inside, cut a short, diagonal line near the middle of the fold. Fold the flap that you just made. Unfold the flap. Open the card. Push the flap towards the inside of the card - this will form the "vase." Cut some small flowers, stems and leaves from construction paper. Decorate them with crayons or markers if you like.
Glue the stems, leaves, and flowers to the vase. Make sure that the flowers do not stick out of the card when the card is closed. Glue the card to the other piece of folded construction paper. To make sure that you do not glue the flaps down, apply the glue only to the inside of the card and then carefully place it on the outer card. Write a message on your lovely flower vase pop-up card
