Directions: Driving south on JhongShan 2nd Rd. it is on the left just before FuSing Rd. (1 block north of the HSBC on MinCyuan Rd.)

Info: This is by far the best gear shop in Kaohsiung. They stock a fairly wide range of Petzl gear, lots of different biners and 4 kinds of MadRock shoes. They also have a few cams and nuts (how long they have been there is anyone's guess). They also have a good selection of other camping equipment and clothing.

Directions: Driving West on Wufu Rd. it is the first place you see on the right after crossing the Love River.

Info: This is the biggest gear shop in Kaohsiung but definetly lacks in it's climbing selection. If you walk by the 1ft x 5ft cabinet I won't judge. They do have a good selection of other hiking and outdoor gear though. Go upstairs and check out the one half of a double rope. Looks like it came right out of the 80's. If you find the other half let me know.

Directions: Heading north on MinZu Rd. it is on the right just before JianGong Rd.

Info: A smaller shop with a good selection of gear. A few harnesses, Scarpa and Mammut shoes and some other biners and the like. Also a nice spool of 10mm static line. They also have a small selection of other camping equipment and clothing.

Directions: Heading south on DaShun 2nd Rd. (from JianGong) it is on the right about a half a block before the interesection with the KFC on the corner (gotta love backward directions)

Info: Again a small shop with some high end gear. Not alot of climbing gear but alot of nice clothing. Some Arc'Teryx hiking pants and Mountain Hardware jackets. They also have a small selection of other camping equipment.



Din Jien Outdoor Equipment

#25 Tai Fong Rd.

Directions: Heading west on JhongJheng Rd., TaiFong Rd. is a block past HePing Rd. on your left, if you come to the railroad tracks you've gone too far. Close to the President Department Store.

Info: Again a small shop with some high end gear. A bit of climbing gear (harnesses and some static line) upstairs and alot of other nice clothing. They also have a good selection of other camping equipment.



Din Jien Sister Store

Directions: Heading west on JianGuo Rd. go over the tracks and hang a left at the big 'Y' intersection. The shop is on your right just past the intersection.

Info: Same kinds of things as the parent store . Not really any climbing gear (one spool of Lanex static line) but a bit of other nice stuff, clothing etc. They also have a small selection of other camping equipment.
